Hey y’all, new to the site. I have around 40 outboard motors in my garage. Mostly neptunes, green Mercs, and a handful of Johnson’s. what is the best way to market and sell these things. I’ve had them on CL but just selling one at a time is taking forever. Thought you all might have a better idea. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, cool site!
December 23, 2015 at 7:22 pm #29104Hi Mdog, in what part of the country are situated? Maybe bring them all to one of the club meets, there is generally a "swap & sell" at all of our meets. Check the "upcoming events" page" on this site for meet info.
Or, how about just joining the club and start having some fun with all of that old "iron" 😀
Joe BDecember 23, 2015 at 7:52 pm #29105Thanks Joe, I do have a couple that I will keep cause I dig em. I’m located in Havelock NC, ill see what you all have going on in my area. In the mean time I’m going to post on the classified section.
December 23, 2015 at 11:53 pm #29114I saw your classified ad, since you’re not trying to get rich, I’d try ebay. Lots of exposure and I think fair priced motors sell pretty good.

December 24, 2015 at 12:03 pm #29132Ok, I’m getting a list together. Ill try to post it in the next couple days. Thanks for the reply. Also trying to avoid the eBay circus.
December 24, 2015 at 7:39 pm #29169Merc dog,
The idea of selling them here is the fact that these folks care about them & most will get fixed up & run again. To be accurate include the brand, hp, serial number ( to tell how old it is) & model number & if it is complete assembly including propeller & remote fuel tank to go with it. I’m interested in what you have too please,
Jeff jeff.50@cox.net.December 25, 2015 at 1:59 am #29191do you by chance have a 1958 RDS-20 Johnson ?
