Anyone know where I can source a Lower Unit Seal Kit for a Gale.
Goodyear SeaBee 025-3569 (5d10G) S/N 437457Believe this is 1952.
Thanks,

September 25, 2018 at 1:13 pm #83511Frank R, Chris P,
If no kit available, which parts should I include if I were to buy separately?
Referencing the picture above, I’m thinking #’s 11, 12 (*), 15, 16, 32, 44, 45, 46 and 53.
* if needed
Does that look complete?And what engine to reference? I had to buy TN-28 Ignition parts. Can I source these for the model 5D10G or the TN-28 or other?
Thanks,
SlimbobSeptember 25, 2018 at 11:02 pm #83529Use the part numbers from the 5D10 parts list posted above. Many of them will be superseded by current numbers, but hopefully your dealer will know that.
BTW, 99.9% of the gearcase parts are identical between the 5D10 and TN-xx and have the same part numbers.
August 3, 2019 at 10:22 am #180657Sorry for the delay.
I removed the lower unit but there are 2 plates below the water pump housing.How do I remove the 2 plates to be able to access the water pump? I am concerned about disconnecting the clutch cable.
.I believe these are Items 17 and 32 on the Parts breakdown for Lower Unit of Gale Model 5D10.
Thanks,
Slimbob-

August 4, 2019 at 9:11 am #180707If the end of the clutch cable is not frayed, you can pull the lower unit down to make it easier to access the water pump and the clutch cable should easily push back up through the hole.
August 4, 2019 at 7:32 pm #180735Plate #17 cannot be lowered without disconnecting shift cable and preferably pulling it down.
