Any thoughts on how I should approach the two ’57 35 hp?

Thanks Ben! It’s actually one of my favorite motors. It lives in the boathouse and is usually the first motor I get out in the spring and the last one to get put away in the fall. It’s my workhorse!

Take the best of both motors and make one good one! They are part for part identical. If having serial numbers match is important to you, you can swap the swivel brackets as needed, too.

I love that stand too. Not only what is on it! I got it for $40 when a local marina shut down. It had pipes welding on the other side to hold about 10 – 12 Mercruiser outdrives. I cut them all off, and it fits outboards perfect and is easy to roll around the garage on its big wheels.

It has a fair amount of weight on it – ’77 Merc 1500, a pair of ’57 Big Twin 35 hp, a ’49 Merc KE-7, and a ’64 Merc 110. Hard to see, but there is a parts OMC V-4 85 hp sitting on the lower platform as ballast. Probably well over a thousand pounds

That one’s mostly Johnson except for the starter handle and the ‘wanna be Merc’ black paint!.

Garry have you actually figured out a way to download those manuals all at once?

I have more folders and programs than I really know what to do with them . . . 🙄
