No one really needs a air compressor until they get one.
Then the cant be without one.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

I think 40 psi is sufficient to blow out carb passages.

Thanks for all the info, still checking this thing out as I have time. Dunno, Harbor Freight has a little single tank compressor on sale for around $50, cheap but do I want to go lower capacity, and would I be happy with it, that’s what I hafta ask myself I guess. Decisions decisions…

I started 15 years ago with a pancake compressor. The small tank meant a lot of waiting for PSI to build back up. Moved up to a HF unit with a bigger tank and found out they use small motors and pumps which run a lot and take a lot of time to fill. I finally spent some tax refund money a few years ago on a 15 gal Dewalt and love it. Much quieter and more powerful. BTW, if price is the issue, a used compressor may be a better choice, just check it thoroughly before buying.

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

Zephyr, yes I agree 40 should be an adequate blow out after a good soak, but when I am trying to air up my 50-60 lb tire pressure on my truck and such, it can be a challenge at 40 lbs or less. Lots o waitin’ if it ever even does get there.

Kerry, hmm never thought about going used maybe on a little bigger compressor if I can find one, but like you said, to check it out good or possibly inherit someone elses probs.
