I had no fuel tank petcock nor fuel line with the Caille when I got it.
Not sure the mixer is correct for this model, but the bolt pattern
      and porting matches the cylinder.

The only way I could hook up the fuel line is with an elbow on
      the tank trough.
If I tried the petcock straight out of the trough, the fuel line would
have needed too sharp of a bend.

I don’t really like the looks of the way I have it set up.
Anyone have any detailed photos of what the original setup was?
      Thanks.

I wonder if you can make the fuel line and coil it..that will allow you to come straight off the tank….Just a thought.. I have seen something like that, but do not remember the motor…

Perhaps I could coil it and make a sharp bend if I did have the stiff line near
the petcock due to my adaptation of 1/4″ to 5/16″ line.

Ahhh, Thanks Joe. Glad to see your mixer is like mine, and it’s
possible to come “straight out” from the trough. Looks like
I’ll just need to find a better suited petcock and fittings.

I looked for petcocks on the Net, but they either have the wrong
sized plumbing, look to modern, or are way over priced, lol.

Joe, it that a Ferrel type fitting on the gas line at
the petcock end, or did they even have compression
type fittings circa 100 years ago?

I think that that is a ferrurl fitting at the petcock( metal ring around the tube, compressed by the nut). Not sure what you mean by a compression fitting? the flare type?

Thanks Joe, From what I see the Ferrule type fittings are often called
compression fittings now days. My dad tought me “Ferrule”, so
that’s what I always called them.

I got a “more correct” petcock, and I’m happier with the way the fuel line
                    presents itself.
I ended up brushing on Ford Light Gray paint. Not sure if I gave it
the “antique” or kindergarten look, but better than when I got it.
