      I wonder if you could replace the follower with a piece of hardwood dowel.

              conclusion…cheap fix to a gouged cam follower

              0274  side view of carb/follower … gouge is alrerady  epoxied  with steel weld

              0276   cutting the brake line 1/4 inch  tubing

              0277    cut tubing / epoxy

              0279    cut tubing installed 🙂

              maybe next one  i’ll use  2  round clips   top and bottom to allow  the sleeve to rotate on the cam follower  to  reduce friction 🙂

                3/16 round clips  below and  above the  new  “brake line sleeve”   would let it rotate 🙂    the 1/4” tubing  tubing is a perfect fit over the cam follower being   is a tad over 3/16  (about 7/32 I.D.)

                the little sleeve  rotates nicely… with a drop of oil  it would  be even better  🙂
