That appears to be a 1960s outboard with a Tecumseh 2-stroke powerhead. I have not seen one with a separate driveshaft and exhaust before, nor that specific swivel system design. I find these motors interesting. Yes, it’s worth repairing – it has quite a simple powerhead, I think, but the carburetor with its diaphram instead of float bowl makes things a little different. You can still find a carburetor kit. I think it’s Tecumseh # 631893A. As this motor has an air-cooled powerhead, you might be tempted to think it is ok to run it out of the water. However, there is no gearbox to fill with oil. Instead, I believe the lower driveshaft bearing in the jet area is water lubricated, so don’t run the motor out of the water. The powerhead likely needs at least a 16 to 1 gas oil mix. Maybe 12 to 1 or 8 to 1. I know I have been surprised before when I was informed that a Tecumseh 2-stroke called for more oil than 16 to 1 mix. 16 to 1 will likely be fine in this motor with synthetic oil. Please make sure you use air cooled two stroke oil. TC -W3 rated oil, likely saying outboard oil on the bottle is unsuitable as it’s meant for cooler running engines. Have fun with your new project! P.S. Check for a patent number you can look up on top of the jet drive
