Any suggestions where to buy an impeller for a 49 Champion 4K?

Are you sure you need one? They are metal and never wear out (normally).

Some are all metal and some are the newer style rubber. There are a couple members who will redo your old one using your old hub.

I haven’t taken it apart yet, based on the water flow I don’t really think I need one. But I’m new to outboards and I’ve read so much about replacing impellers that I thought I’d better at least be prepared for the task. It would be great if it’s metal and doesn’t need to be replaced. This little Champion starts on the first pull and runs great, I don’t want to screw it up. Thanks for the info.

I’m really impressed that it pumps that well (your other post & video). It must be in really good condition. Those motors usually rely on siphon action to lessen the back pressure on the water. Your missing expansion plug breaks the siphon and it still works! Like I said, I’m impressed.

Thanks FrankR, that’s very encouraging. The motor came with a 59 Tomahawk Skimate that we’re restoring. We’re hoping to have it in the water in about 3-4 weeks.
