Very seldom the clutch spring will actually break. All you’ll need is a big hammer or a big vice.

54 and 55 CD’s have a small, round shaped rope spool and will feel harder to pull than 56 and later ones with the oval shaped spool. You’ll really notice it when the plugs are back in and everything is loosened up.
