Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get a replacement coil pack for my 1939 Neptune junior twin 4hp
      And how to replace it?

I have never worked on your motor but take your volt/ohm meter & set it at around 5K & take the leads to the block & the other in the plug wire to test, should get about 3 to 4K on the meter. If infinate remove flywheel & coil. Post a photo here & see if it is around here.

Might check with Doug Penn picked up a coil for a neptune that I had from him. Like Jeff said check it first a lot of the time they are not grounded good, plug wire is bad or condenser is bad

Your outboard uses a Wico model 1102 magneto. The 1939, 6hp model uses the same one. If your coil is bad you may have to adapt one to fit the laminations. This model magneto was used only that year on these two motors. I have adapted a John Deere pony motor coil to the earlier versions of the Eisemann magnetos with success. Somebody here has adapted a Brigs and Straten twin cylinder coil, they may be able to guide you on this. Another option would be to use a coil from a 4 cylinder motorcycle with a battery.

              Search Neptune 6HP coil.
I listed the Briggs and Stratton part number, and pictures on how to do the conversion.
