The points and coil are marked Delco Remy, so I assume
the condenser was originally supplied by them as well.
I find nothing in the Stevens or Merc-o-tronic manuals
that shows what condenser mfd value I need.
The old one has no ID on it.
It test out at .33 mfd, which may be in the ball park for
      a battery ignition set up.
If anyone has data for sure what I need, that would be great,
otherwise, I’ll rig something up with two .15 capacitors.
      Thanks.

It seems that after a lot of testing of caps by mr. Mowat in the latest Outboarder article the good old .22uf is usually an all around good place to start

.17 – .21 uF? The older they get, the higher the uF rating goes as they start breaking down.

I have ordered these .22uf and at 630v I think they should work fine If they check out.. no more 10-15$ caps for me 🙂 and they fit inside the 580321 small cap cans .50c /each

the yellow ones have the same specs and should also work..time will tell ………………… and they even fit better in the cans $1/each

Thanks for the replies. I sure a .22 cap would work, but I thought perhaps this being a battery ignition
unit, the condenser may have been at a higher rating than one on a magneto, but that’s just a guess.
