I have a Scott built Corsair Navigator 4 hp shift motor that is in need of a water pump impeller. This has the vane type. Also, the lower unit is in rough shape. I am going to try to salvage it, but may need to look for a replacement. I’m wondering if there is a source for the water pump impellers. Also, would the lower unit from the old 1-16 5 hp and 1_20 7.5 hp shift Scott’s be the same as the 1-14 4 hp lower unit. If so, this would make one easier to find.
      Thx much

There’s one or two people that make reproductions impellers for some models.
Their names escape me, but somebody will know.
Have you tried to match your impeller to an OMC or Sierra that may fit, or
        be altered to work?

This is the Honda impeller that will work if you shim the bore:

          Honda 19210-ZW9-013 19210-ZW9-003

Best way to do it is to enlarge the bore a bit with a dowel and some sandpaper, the superglue in a small length of this tubing:

          K&S #140 17/32 round brass tubing

Then file a groove for the drive pin.

I did try a small Yamaha impeller a few yrs ago on a 1-20. It did work, but didn’t cool properly. I will look into the Honda impeller.
Are the 4, 5 and 7.5 straight leg lower units the same, or possibly the gear sets?

Yes, the 4, 5 and 7.5hp straight legs are all the same. As I recall, the only significant change Scott made was from a bowden cable, to a lever for the shift mechanism at the top of the leg. This was between ’49 and ’50 model years and would apply to all hp.
