Zephyr, you’re right it does have just as good a way to sit it down as most any other outboard. Yes, people are really careless about sitting them down properly and packing stuff around them and just generally allowing them to just roll around, stuff roll into them, and just letting them get beat up. And yes, a dreamer indeed.

Cool, crosbyman. Always liked those Lightwins. You may be able to still use yours until you fix it up 😀

Needs to be bought by a body shop guy. Looking past the dents it is a very nice getting rare motor. I have noticed in the past few years many are missing in the for sale lists, even the common ones too. I haven’t sold a motor in ages but still try to get them. I’m keeping mine unless I give one away to a friend. I too can’t believe how they spell EVINRUDE too!

Don’t laugh. I buy lots of nice Evenrude stuff on the auction sites and classifieds, cause no one knows it’s there. After 3 weeks of no calls, the seller gets pretty flexible. Jonson and Jonsun stuff too.

There’s a nice looking Evenrude Zephre there right now. Not that anybody wants one of those.

                Or, a decent looking 1963 2 HP.

Lots of people think that "because it’s old, its automatically gold". I see it all the time

Don’t worry, if it’s older than the hills on my Grandmother’s chest and twice as dusty, then it’s considered "a treasure" 😉
