Electrical problems on 1970 Evinrude 18hp

I am having good spark with my test light but it won’t jump spark with my spark jumper. Both coils test good but when checking from the coil to the end of the wire both coils feed both wires. Could it be my points grounding out?

You have two magnetos, one for each cylinder. Only bonding is a common point. Start checking resistance values.

Measuring from one spark plug wire to the other spark plug wire will give you the resistance of both coils. they are connected by a common ground. . . 🙄
