Regular gasket material will not work. The material needs to be about 1/8" + thick, gasoline resistance and flexible. Maybe an inter tube?

Any ideas out there????Something like this might work, but wouldn’t be thick enough if you absolutely had to have 1/8".
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4540December 21, 2015 at 3:27 pm #28960The old one is thick, with the springs and metal caps, not sure if a thin material would work. The current one looks like it has a reinforcement material between two pieces of rubber all molded together. I will try something thinner and see what happens.
Thanks for the INFODecember 21, 2015 at 3:31 pm #28961202315 diaphragm, this is the old part number. I sure I will not find one and maybe someone else that owned this, had replaced it with this material.
Kinda working in the blind on this. Trial and error :<)December 21, 2015 at 4:25 pm #28965Good morning!
I replaced that valve diaphragm with Viton 60 sheet material I sourced from eBay.
The material came in a 3 pack 6" X 6" X 5/64" (.0781"). 1 piece each of Viton 60, 70 and 90 durometer.
I selected the 60 because it had the flexibility that the diaphragm needed and sealed perfectly.
I have had it installed for several years with out any leaking or other problems.
I don’t remember what I paid for it but it is basically scrap material left over from
some manufacturing process so it wasn’t much.
Hope it helps you!
Respectfully,
Bob
