looking for diagram of evinrude zypher carb for overhaul . cant get the black plastic throttle value out of carb body

Jeffrery, Buc has giv’in you the holy grail! That black thing will make you pull your hair out until you do it once. Real complicated carburetor. They are suppose to work good I guess. The darn thing also vents the gas tank. It can spill gas all over if your not careful. The Johnson boys improved Evinrudes a bunch during those years. Scraped that big carb for much better designs.

Thank you Mumbles!! Just acquired a Zephyr and the carburetor is driving me crazy. Also had no diagram and the carburetor appears all Greek to me.

yeah . i just went through one . my throttle was stiff and wouldn’t return . after reading the “holy grain” i was set to go . that carb is a piece of engineering history . tread lightly
