Mumbles , do you use gloss clear or a matte clear ?
I’m using the reprotint rattle can paint .
I’ve never painted metallic paint before . I think next time I’ll use my HVLP ..
That was 3 coats on the tank and 4 on the shroud …

Thanks guys! Both tanks were done using an automotive base/clear paint system.

Metallics can be a bit tricky to spray but sometimes I find light mist coats work better than heavy wet coats. A lot of it depends on the outside temperature as you’re wanting the flakes to flatten out before the paint kicks off.
