      I’ve never seen an outboard with a "Knot Meter".
      Were they unique to Firestone outboards, or
      did other brands have them?
      Were they mechanical with a cable and water wheel,
      or have a pressure tube, etc.?

      Here’s a 16 hp Firestone on EBay with one.
      Looks kind of neat.

            Frank,
            They use water pressure & the tube. I remember it was by a drain on the skeg, best I can remember
