December 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm #68519For those interested, the Braden River Cruise to Linger Lodge will be Jan 27th.
EDIT: The entire Braden River is a no wake zone. No need to worry about "keeping up" and if you do lag behind, you can’t get lost.

Well let’s just say there are a few residents along the river that can’t stand boats.Actually, I suppose the rule is good in a way. People were plowing along at 1/4 throttle in their 20 ft boats and creating huge wakes that damage the shoreline. When I first came to this area back in the 1950’s, Braden River was like a jungle river. More and more houses now, but still reasonably pretty. And yes, we still got gators
December 12, 2017 at 1:38 pm #68524Everybody has different troubles… here it will be 12-16 inches of snow and 0 F …. not one gator to be seen and no wakes …
no more green grass, no flies, no mosquitoes till April
my favorite look-out

December 15, 2017 at 1:51 pm #68617I winter in Florida and would also like to attend some of the swap meets. The Lake Hamilton one gets my interest because it is close to me and is going to happen in January. I haven’t joined an actual chapter yet and may join one here in Florida since I’m here in St Pete half the year. Can you guys make sure to post the info here? Also you can pm me the info also or email it to me using my aomci account email I have registered.
Thanks,
Joe -
