Standard bore on the Chief is 2.375" (two and three-eights inch). Year of manufacture and whether its a racing model or fishing motor doesn’t matter, they used the same size bore. Racing model reportedly built with two-ring pistons and aluminum rods as standard equipment. (usually changed over to bronze). Personally I’ve never seen a two-ring piston in a Racing Chief, but have been told they exist.

Your bores should measure at least 2.435" if the slugs are indeed 6o thou oversize.

        Hope this helps.

OK’ if the number 094 is cast in the upper surface of the timing flange it is a 2-ring +.060 O’size Judson piston. If they have either no number inside or a 6 digit number starting with 100*** they are factory replacement +.060 for 92BR or 1930 Sea King made by Lockwood. e-mail <sogentiiiky@gmail.com> or ph- 1-731-584-2195 in Tenn. .060 is the largest oversize bore that was allowed to go or it went into next class. A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

The pistons have 094 stamp stamped in them to . What do you mean by the number stamped into the timing flange where would that number be located it isn’t the serial number or the model number right
