This is an Evinrude 2.0 HP that I want to replace the crank seal on. DO I need a “special tool”?

I guess I could do that but I didn’t want to risk breaking the block.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

If you don’t want to take risks. it really isn’t that hard to remove the crank on that little motor. Certainly cheaper than buying a special tool

This is true. There sure isn’t much to them. Or, I can use a screw like tubs video.
                Thank you for the ideas.
