Be VERY careful when having a motor tilted up on a stand that isn’t mounted to the floor, this ’84’ OMC 40hp I’m converting to 15” shaft just flipped over and broke the tiller!!!!!!!!!! Any chance something like this available? The accessory (I guess) tiller, shift, start button mounts on the normal steering arm. GD it, I’m almost ready to run this thing, painted the lower cowl and midsection real purty, resealed the L/U when installing the short D/S.
April 19, 2016 at 12:08 am #35036so this is a 40/50 tiller model? Maybe you can just get that piece welded….
April 19, 2016 at 1:57 am #35047try ebay.
April 19, 2016 at 10:56 pm #35094As you may know BuRP dropped this part in 2002. The part numbers are 330242 to 334642. Try Sea-Way in Seattle.
April 19, 2016 at 11:20 pm #35096There is a #334642 on Ebay for $65 OBO right now, but not sure that is what you need. Check it out! Hope it is.

April 20, 2016 at 12:03 am #35101Dan, I owe you a steak dinner, or fish, or lobster. I searched that number this morning, but didn’t scroll through at all. I guess that will be what I learned for today – just because it doesn’t show up right away, scroll through everything they list. The complete handle and/or that bracket are not available at ANY OMC dealer, Seaway, Marineengine, Crowley, or Boats.net. Woo Hoo, now all I need is the throttle handle part and that should be available.
April 20, 2016 at 12:10 am #35102Everything you need it here, but it is pricey and in Germany……
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Johnson-Evinrud … SwZQxW2p3QApril 20, 2016 at 1:13 am #35103Thanks to you too Michael. A little pricey, but considering 2 of the parts included are very scarce, not all that bad. Oh, the broken part at the throttle handle is the other part that is very scarce, but the person with the 334642 bracket has a tiller arm with that piece (#4 at the aftermarket sites), who skip from #3 to #5 on their lists. Thanks again to all and this great club and website!

Bad mistake but you found the parts thru the club. Everyone here has helped me many times too. Thank you everyone & may God bless.
Great site to belong to huh! Happy fishing to all!
