That made me laugh, but it’s kind of sad though.
After all that work that boat has performed , it’s
tossed away as a piece of garbage……..
could at least have had a ceremony and
        a burial at sea!

        Prepare to be boarded!

Lol, I bet the truck driver had never seen that one before. And that’s why I don’t like glass boats. They all end up in the landfill someday

I did a similar thing, but the easy way. Rolled the waterlogged beast off the trailer directly into the dumpster 🙁

Instead of throwing them in a dumpster, lots of unwanted boats around here end up at the local speedway for Saturday night boat races. They get chained up to a car and towed around the track!

My great great great great great great great great great great great great grandpa Mumbles disposed of his boat, and himself, with style!

Wish they could grind them up and make new ones like they do with asphalt roads.

We had a fire call one Saturday night for a smoke investigation.
Smoke was so thick there was a total black out on the highway
                  for about seventy five yards.
We followed the smoke and found a bunch of good ol boys
sitting around a bonfire consisting of an eighteen foot fiberglass
                  boat .
Amazing how much smoke it put off. 😯

My son owns land out in the country. Right next to his property sits what remains, just the shell, of a fiberglass boat, no motor. Couldn’t tell for sure if there is a trailer under it. Trees have completely surrounded the boat making it impossible to move it in any direction. He was excited to find it and I was excited to see that it was on the neighbors property and not going anywhere without a great deal of work. We looked it over best as we could last winter and he is not disappointed now after finding out how bad it really is. He is interested in buying the land it sits on. Fortunately, he has a very strong bargaining tool with much cleanup necessary on the property besides the boat. It won’t be long before the county and/or EPA steps in as the land is next to a major creek that drains into a state park.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

                        Steve,
Did they get a ticket for the smoke?
