Tubs, fast forward 20 years and that’s almost exactly what I’m looking at.

Wanted to take the jet boat, cut the top off & make a long fishing boat. Let her dry out & put seats in,….why not?

          quote Jeff Register:

          Steve,
Did they get a ticket for the smoke?

Nope, Local law enforcement at the time wouldn’t enforce burning laws.
Homeowner was bummed when we put it out.

I had a neighbor that chain-sawed up two old fiberglass boats with bad transoms – he fed the pieces into his trash can over a period of several months. For ambitious boat restorers, go to Minneapolis Craigslist and put "Free Stuff boats" in the search box and there are always about a half dozen ones up for grabs. Beware that not everything that comes up is free – it searches for the word "free" in the post.

            Here’s a link:

Here is a way to re-purpose an over the hill boat – make it into a bar.
It can be used in the backyard if you can’t get it into the basement!….incidentally – this "bar" showed up free on Craigslist a couple weeks ago – previous owners left it behind when they sold the house:
