Take it from a guy that has a garage, basement and shed full of "good deals"… both motors and boats that I do not have enough life left to get to. Unless you want restore and keep them, let em’ go. This is a collecting hobby that can get carried away in a hurry.
I’d have to agree with Al. IF they were complete it might be a pretty good deal, but by the time you chase down the parts you need you might be better off finding one that’s complete. That being said, Russ Larson at martinoutboards.com has pretty much anything you’d need for a Martin. Overall, they’re good motors.
Thanks guys that is what I was thinking. I have 5 motors right now not including my main motor on the boat so I am in the same situation as crosbyman I just enjoy bringing them back to life.
I have way too many now. Wish I had the money I have in the too much ones. I wouldn’t give a plug nickel for both of them unless I had a use for two parts motors. Not enough time to do them all.
