December 14, 2019 at 6:46 pm #189338Are we sure that’s an “A”? Tank says it’s an A, but the timer and carb tell another story.

December 14, 2019 at 8:15 pm #189340I’m not sure of anything. What story is it telling?

December 14, 2019 at 10:48 pm #189356The carb is newer than 1923. I thought the timer kill switch was on the starboard side prior to 1925, but think I have that backwards. It could be the correct timer. We need better photos. Ruddertwins are often found with incorrect parts. Judging by the way a previous owner secured the coil I’m sure there are bound to be modifications/repairs that are not true to original.

I know of an Elto Ruddertwin, or so he said, on Cree Lake, the guy used to have a house on Big Turkey Lake Lives in a green house on the west side of the road off of the lake, he also had a house in Fort Wayne if memory serves…..Told me he would call if he ever decided to sell it, but I have not seen him for years…
MOB stands for Michiana Outboard Boating Chapter of the AOMCI, our local chapter, of which I am the current Vice President…http://www.richardsoutboardtools.com
