Are we sure that’s an “A”? Tank says it’s an A, but the timer and carb tell another story.

I’m not sure of anything. What story is it telling?

The carb is newer than 1923. I thought the timer kill switch was on the starboard side prior to 1925, but think I have that backwards. It could be the correct timer. We need better photos. Ruddertwins are often found with incorrect parts. Judging by the way a previous owner secured the coil I’m sure there are bound to be modifications/repairs that are not true to original.

Just saw it on schedule, what is MOB? Bought that ELTO at Cree lake, goes to show neat outboards are in your backyard and just need found.

I know of an Elto Ruddertwin, or so he said, on Cree Lake, the guy used to have a house on Big Turkey Lake Lives in a green house on the west side of the road off of the lake, he also had a house in Fort Wayne if memory serves…..Told me he would call if he ever decided to sell it, but I have not seen him for years…
MOB stands for Michiana Outboard Boating Chapter of the AOMCI, our local chapter, of which I am the current Vice President…
