I am looking for the manufacturers part number for the plastic gear rail
for the vintage ’60s Ship-Master controls. I found the drawing but no part numbers.
Also, the little brass clamp that has two small set screws.
With a little research, it seems none are available unless you buy the whole assembly off of e-bay.
My local machine shop can make them and they are priced by the man hours
put into the tooling set up. If there is any interest or demand, I can have a dozen
made at one time. Don’t know the price per each just yet.

Can’t see the detail – is it a Allen socket? Can you make one out of a screw and saw a screwdriver slot? Just wondering.

it is a 1/16" hex allen screw. It is so small, I would not
cut a slot for a screw driver as you need a LOT of torque
to hold the wire in place so it won’t slip. Plus, it is recessed about 1/32" into the barrel.
Just buy the proper tool for the job – thus eliminating the frustration factor.
