      hi i working with a a-410 lauson outboard and just getting it back in one piece,,,, i just drained oil and when i removed the lower drain plug it had a small screen on it and a sm’all spring came out with it,,,,, can anyone let me know what the function of the small spring is,,,,its sorta bent on one end and i’m sure needs replaced,,thank you for any help ,, i’ve got a parts book for it but does not show the spring just plug,,,,
