Is there a kit available for this motor.  I took the motor out today after years of setting. I had redone the carb and ignition this past winter and saw the prop seal was leaking before I ever run it but wanted to see how it would do before replacing the lower unit seals. Ran great so now looking to do the lower but cant find anything for it. Thanks for any information on it!

I had an Evinrude Fastwin too. The shift shaft seal is below the brass guide / retainer for the shift shaft, just an O-ring. The case halves has a round rubber seal which is generic to omc products. Cut a lttle oversize when fitting into the cavity. I used silicone to hold it in place & help seal it. Then just the propshaft & driveshaft seals. Maybe if FrankR sees this post he will show a drawing of the parts list, help Frank please! If you can’t find the parts I bought a total rebuild kit for my Fastwin & forgot I had the box of parts in my shop. I just need help getting to the box now as I’m in a wheel chair now. just email me if you need any of my parts but I need part numbers to match the seals.

I believe this is the 1954 Fastwin gearcase parts list.

Too bad there’s not affordable, and the correct size, “speedi sleeves”
for worn, grooved shafts in the seal area.

            Prepare to be boarded!

some shop  can repair by   ” blast  welding”  the shaft and  reshape it to  the correct diameter. …. or look for spare parts.   try Tim’s outboard and similar sites

Thanks for the info! Having the part numbers will be a big help. A kit would have been great but at least this is a start.

vintage outboard.com may have kits  or can assemble the parts you need.

spaghetti seal  is most important and some shops sell it by the foot… my last purchase  was .103 a bit heavy but the gc sealed up at 15 psi.  🙂

the rest is o-rings, prop seal etc…
