Is there suppose to be a bushing of some kind on the center stud of the rewind,
where it goes through the housing? In the one photo you can see how sloppy it is.
My only thought that perhaps it’s designed this way so one can “center” the rewind
guts in the flywheel cog wheel.
I looked at my parts pdf, but can’t tell for sure in the photo.
      Thanks.

Use a 1/8″ rod or drill bit to line up it up with the flywheel. No bushing there.

what jc said. A rod through the center bolt, into the counter bore of the crankshaft.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll look this morning, I didn’t realize the bolt was centered
            drilled all the way through!
On certain snowmobiles of “old” I use to engage the dogs into the ratchet cup on
the crankshaft by pulling the rope, with the rewind housing bolts loose, so the
rewind would “self center”, then tighten down the housing bolts.
