Gents,
I was looking in a Jukebox catalog for a tube but ran across this solid state vibrator new. Available in 6 or 12 volts and positive or negative ground solid state models.

I have used these guys before for old radio & turn table apps with very good results, but never used them for Vibrators before. These vibrators are all solid state vibration & have no electro-mechanical contacts to wear out. They also show socket adaptors for remote mount vibrators. Just ask for a new catalog or look on line! Good luck!

I have two old Stevens testers that used vibrator tubes. Both were dead. I opened them up, cleaned the points, put in some desiccant, and sealed them back up. Both have been fine for a couple of years now.

October 11, 2015 at 11:32 pm #25424Guys,
I am planning on calling Monday to see if the said vibrator is still available. Also these guys were used to run a step up trans for the primary winding as J.W. explains so well between the lines. J.W. Been there done that with my 51 Buick radio too when a record player in the trunk cost too much. Gasoline was under half buck back then & our music was confined to the AM band….remember??
J.W.
I almost had another one built but the switching transistor was out of production & didn’t want to rob Fords in the scrap yard for parts. I wanted new parts! And yes it has remoting sockets as well. 😉October 12, 2015 at 4:20 am #25430Found many people on the net under solid state vibrators showing different drawings how to build them. Just look on the web for solid stated vibrators
and away you go!!
