I’m looking for oversize pistons for a Mark 55 part number A-718-1313A1, I have looked everywhere with not luck, I have checked in to custom making them but I would have to place a min order if any one else is looking for some. If any one knows where to find some please let me know.

Yes you are correct, I forgot about Joe. Joe is a great guy & has many parts, his dad was in the business & Joe has continued, can’t say enough good about them!
April 8, 2023 at 5:19 am #274927Joe is an excellent guy to do business with. He has stuff nobody else does, but best of all, he is a very thorough communicator, which is a trait that is also hard to find, these days.
Long live American manufacturing!
April 8, 2023 at 5:56 pm #274936Joe dose not have them, but he has alot of parts, I spent over $1000 on parts from him to restore this motor,, but it needs new pistons!

webmaster@aomci.orgApril 8, 2023 at 9:16 pm #274960If I may ask why do you need oversize pistons? I forgot thid manufacturers name but they made custom pistons but pricey. Maybe new used cylinders that are up to spec? I’m out of touch for the last year being sick, help guys please. Maybe try looking up pistons on the web or watch e bay closely. good luck. I’m retired si I will look tomorow for you.
April 8, 2023 at 9:29 pm #274961If you haven’t tried Mastertech marine.com on the web they have new pistons for two & three cylinder motors. Let me explain, Mercury used the same pistons in 2 & 4 cylinder motors in the early days. Maybe they can match pistons for you. They also have forged pistons but they are noisey until warmed up. worth a few minutes to try. They may know where if they don’t have. I looked up antique outboard pistons on the web.
April 9, 2023 at 11:47 am #274978The compression is low, and the motor dose not want to start the block is .010 out of round. I have check with Wiseco I would have to place an order of 20 pistons, at a cost of about $3500.00
