i am new to this wonderful organization.
in april i bought a 1953 penn yann with a 1957 mercury mark four turbo 30 hp.
boat and motor ready to go now but the prop is spun out!
Admiral in Tampa fl could not get part to fix it!
i am so desperate to run my motor boat!!!!!!
      the pro is a 11inch
      two questions:
is there anyone who has for sale an 11 or 11.6 two blade prop that will fit this motor?
and is there anyone who can rebuild my existing prop?
      desperate to run my boat

You have a Mercury Mark 30 with a Turbo Four powerhead. That is what they called the 30cu powerhead.

The hub for your prop is long NLA. There are props out there, watch eBay or put a wanted ad in free classifieds. The 11p is more common as it was used on Mark 25s and Mark 20s often. The 11.6p is harder to come by, expect to pay more for it. Even more desirable is the 12.5/13p bronze prop pretty much used exclusively for Mark 30. They sell for close to $200.

You could always have a lesser pitch prop cupped at prop shop which would bring RPM down.

It’s always better to do the right thing and get a good prop. However, depending on your mechanical skills and cleverness, it is sometimes possible to lock the hub and outer prop together by mechanical means, meaning screws, basically. It’s cheating, it’s often ugly but it works in a pinch. There are horrible ways and more elegant ways to do this. It is up to the person doing it, just how to do it; using a combination of mechanics and "art." If the prop with the spun hub is useless anyway, being unrepairable by proper means, then what’s a guy got to loose?

Thank you everyone for the help.
Admiral has taken the prop back and may be able to fabricate a sleeve and epoxy it together.
But, that is not the best solution. Thanks for the clutch issue I had not thought of the subtle give that you lose in "fixing it in this manner. I will begin looking for other props as suggested. Someday i will be up and running!
