I have a 1952 Super 10 Hurricane that was running last year.  I need any advice on the fuel mixture settings and also what is the fuel / oil mix?

        I have a couple KF-7″s that I use 3 oz. per. gal.
        A little richer than 50 to 1.
        About 42 to1.

Agree with Tubs on fuel mixture.  Also the lower unit is filled with grease, not oil.  Most Merc guys are using John Deere corn head grease.  Lubriplate 105 is also acceptable, but is rather expensive.  Never use automotive chassis grease or other types of grease.

I hope your coils are good! Haed to find them now. Every one I’ve done required ignation work. I miss running my KH7 too.

Super 10 start easily when everything is as it should be
                Sure you have spark?
Take out plugs, if wet, shake the fuel out of them,
pull the motor over 10 to 12 times, put plugs back in,
mag lever on start, try it again. You should get something.
                If you do it’s flooded.
Close the high speed mixture screw some.
Plugs dry? Squirt some fuel in the cylinders, pull the
motor over a few times, put plugs back in. You should
get something. If you do open the high speed mixture
                screw some.
If you don’t get anything at all I would suspect upper
and lower crankshaft seals need replaced.
Seals and gaskets are available from Joe Poole at
                Ferguson Poole Marine.

I suggest you wait to see what others may have to offer
                and use your best judgement.

Coils with  condensers for Scintilla mags are for sale on ebay by Big Rich. I just bought two from him.

One other thing worth trying is reversing the plug wires.
If they got switched the motor will stay asleep.
