If you find dual output andovers they work too. Just ground one hi volt output, Now you have a single output andover WITH over twice the windings that equal a much hotter spark. This type of coil goes back to Johnson opposed twin coils. It had contact mechanical points that would ground the left then right cylinder to stop the firing of both cylinders while one was at the bottom of the stroke. Use Super Corona Dope for insulating. Looks like clear fingernail polish & is a super insulater in a bottle. Look under M.G. Chemicals to buy. The corona dope was made back in the day of cathode ray picture tubes, the black & white type. The scanning beam, that lights up the screen is very hi voltage & the hi volt transformer, (Flyback) would arc to ground & corona dope insulated the transformer output terminal & stopped the arcing & the screen stayed bright. CRT’s are very old school picture tubes. Cathode = negative, ray means consentrated light, almost a laser & we all know what tube means, a vacuum glass vessal. Try it, you will like it! Others on Johns old merc have already used it so it has passed the test already ;>) !!

P.S. If you find the dual output coils they are less money because it’s rare that people know how to use it. See above!!
Just looked it up on ebay. Some yahoo is trying to get 120 per coil, Don’t fall into that trap!!! They go for $24.00
