Impeller is ordered, finally down to the gear box, all looks good, will need the prop shaft seal It has a number on it GK100-J032F not finding that anywhere. Hopefully this will be my last part needed.

Hey fellow, never mind about the seal. I found a water pump seal that is the same size, had it in stock. It was an OMC seal.
Again, thanks to all for the help. Will make a final post when its up and running.

Impeller is ordered. I started on the gear case. First one I’ve taken apart that is full of grease. Has grease written by the drain plug. So I guess grease goes back in. Any type of grease, or suggestions?

Outboard motor gear grease is no longer made by anybody. Most people use Lubriplate 105 "Motor Assembly Grease", available at NAPA Auto Parts Stores. It comes in a handy squeeze tube. Another popular lube is Corn Head Grease, available from John Deere dealers. Good stuff, but not as handy to get in the gearcase, as it comes in a standard grease gun cartridge.

Next question, need a replacement boot for the spark plug, would like to keep the clip on plug wire, instead of changing to the newer style.

This is what I am using. I get it at Tractor Supply.

                    Fishing nut,
I just bought a Scott / Firestone 10hp impeller from Flying Scott guy. It fits & works very well too!

Spark plug boots are available frm Russ Larson, the Martin SIG leader. He is linked off the aomci site.
