close look  at cd-10 base  with lots of carbon deposits …

while checking the impeller had a chance to do some clean up 🙂

base gasket replaced with a 6hp gasket which needed a small touch-up with a blade  and   became a  CD-10 5.5 hp base gasket   🙂

overall the engine is in great shape

From what can be seen, the original paint does look great. With all that carbon buildup, the motor probably was run with automotive oil back in it’s day, but not run much in recent times. Probably low hours. Were the coils original?

          You can convert a 313065 into a 303467 gasket but a 304314 wont work.

yes coils were orignal .. now replaced   with new wires.  getting strong sparks

old and new modified gasket patterns were overlapped   and matched
