OMC Seal 302302

Anyone know of a modern replacement seal #302302
for the Gale / Johnson TN "bearing housing seal" that
goes below the water pump?
I could not match one up on the SKF site that’s
close enough in standard nor metric size.
The seal is 1" OD
.437 shaft size ( 7/16")
5/16" to 3/8" thick

I’ve seen a couple of places selling the 302302 seal,
but I presume both are NOS, and both over $20 to $30
with shipping.

I have 8 left, but I just ordered another run.

I find some of the NOS seals are now slowly rotting from age.

So, I made my own run of them. You cannot buy that size anywhere. Well, you can, but in steel. Steel will quickly rot in that environment under the water pump, so would not recommend that.

I have to order a very large quantity of them, as a minimum, so I hope a lot of you guys plan on resealing that TN in the near future! lol

I wish I only had to buy 50 lol. We didn’t have any other options though to keep these Gale and TN gearcases going, so I just made a run of them. Might take me a couple decades to sell though 🙂
