QD 14 Coils

I have two Johnson QD 14 engines that need new coils, and spark plug wires.  Can someone tell me where I could get the new parts?

QD 12 and up use regular coils points condensers  used for over 25 years

plug wire is 7mm  copper core strand  wire… you local motorbike  shop may sell by the  foot    buy 4 feet

I have a QD 14 “Repair Parts Catalog” which says the part # is 580118. I have looked at Amazon, they refer to the same numbers you mention. I guess the new numbers have superseded what my book says. I prefer to get an OEM part, after having read the comments on aftermarket coils sold by amazon. Do you know if OEM part exists in Canada?

have you tried an Evinrude dealer if any around you ??

 

I have used lots of amazon ..coils and no issues  except one pair I returned because the HV pin was bent.

Marineengine as well as a host of other online retailers usually do a fair job of showing you superceded part numbers.
