I don’t believe any head gasket gets sealer. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe those do.

is it a new gasket or an old gasket? copper gaskets usually just need to be tightened down, sometimes they need to be retightened a number of times…. 😉

I have never used a sealer on any head gasket on any engine I have ever worked on. This includes those that others have seen fit to use a sealer on before me. Right or wrong, that’s how I have always done it.

If everything is clean, flat, and straight you shouldn’t need anything but a gasket.
