Got a story for you mister Malliett.   When I was a pup my buddies and me were woods bike riders.  More than once we were running hard on spring woods rides and someone in our group would water out.  First thing we did was find a high spot of ground and pull out the spark plug.   Roll the bike upside down and turn the engine over until most of the water was out.  Then we pulled the ignition cover off and usually somebody would have a can of CRC or WD40 and we sprayed the ignition wires, points and condenser and every other wire we could find that was around the coil.  Then we asked if any one had a dollar bill a dry one if possible.   Buddy’s know well that you will probable not get your dollar back but some one usually antes up.   We folded up the dollar so we could snap the points on it to clean and dry the ignition.   We never had a failure!   Sand in the carb slide was common, sticky throttle but that is another story!

Undo the nut that the pull cord grabs to start the motor, reverse thread? Then use a puller to get the flywheel off?

Know the drill. If you don’t get it running
you’ll be pushing it back to the truck.
                    Sure was fun though.

Looked for a video on You Tube
but couldn’t find anything worth while.
You need to use a flywheel puller.
