Now I have a new puller. So just keep tightening, and it pops off?

          Being that is a steel
flywheel you’re probably OK but that is not the
best way. Distortion of the flywheel is Possible.
Those 3 threaded holes in the flywheel are
there for a reason. Its off now keep going on.

Heading out for dinner but I don’t think you
need me anymore. Once you have spark again
just put everything back where you found it.

Guess you got the flywheel off OK, but as Tubs noted, you really shouldn’t use a jaw type puller on the rim of the flywheel.   Also, whenever you need to remove the flywheel, leave the flywheel nut installed loosely near the top of the crankshaft threads.   That will help prevent the center bolt on the puller from mushrooming the crankshaft threads when you tighten the bolt.  And if a flywheel is really stuck, leaving the nut on there loosely will help prevent the whole shebang from flying off when the flywheel finally does break loose.   Good luck with getting it running again.

Well if my phone wasn’t at the bottom of lake x, I would be able to show you all a great ride after  of drying her out! I returned to the scene of the crime. It fired up after a few pull’s , sputtered a wee bit then off I go! As billw suggested I ran it hard for a tank full.
so now I can look for a flywheel puller set at the yard sales.
Thanks again for your time and your willingness to help, much appreciated!
