      I checked out the arco starters. I’m having difficulty determining which one my motor accepts. It’s my first restoration so I am a newbie at all this…

        Do you have one that is bad? Problems I have had cross referancing sometimes loss of data. Flywheel ready? Wonder if that number matches my 58 J E-start. Rare item!

          I’m unable to find an Arco gear drive starter. Some OMC options you might look for are 278245, 379819, 379128.

            When I got the motor the lower part of the starter assembly was missing. I will check out the OMC options listed.

              Pretty much the same starter motor all the way through with that style V4. It just has a gear coming out the top of the motor.
