In addition to the pal I posted about, I also acquired a Thor opposed twin today.  The steering handle was not present and this is a project I will not truly attempt until summer, but how should I go about finding/making a new tiller handle?  It seems to be the same one used on some Thor singles.

Its a piece of tubing. 7/8|” diameter, I think. Cut to length, drill a hole for the pivot bolt, grind the bottom off so that the tube has an open side, then squash it in a vise to close it down to where its open enough to fit over the mounting stub.

Put a grip on it if desired. This took me about 10 minutes to make from start to finish. Easy peasy.

He's livin' in his own private Idaho..... I hope to go out quietly in my sleep, like my grand-dad did..... and not screaming, like the passengers in his car...
