I have a 1947 Delux 17 ft run about made by Chris Craft. The transmission has been adjusted as far as it will go. I am trying to find a replacement or someone who might be able to repair it etc. The engine it attaches to is a 6 cylinder Hercules. Until I can find a solution this old girl is laid up!!!!
Mostly outboard motor guy’s here. I searched “Chris Craft boat transmission repair service “ and this came up. “ For Chris Craft boat transmission repair service, you can turn to specialists like Federal Marine Transmissions, known for rebuilding Paragon and Velvet Drive transmissions. Great Lakes Skipper also offers a wide selection of new and rebuilt boat transmissions, including those for Chris Craft. If you’re looking for parts or information, Chris-Craft-Parts.com may be a helpful resource.”
A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Tmil… tell us where you are located. what were the symptoms of the failure? and who made the evaluation of the trans? Mechanical transmission, perhaps just need bearings and seals, unless we are talking catastrophic failure.
