not everybody can weld and mercury clamps are much stronger.
PugetSounder, I agree, Some people make things happen, others wonder what happened & still others don’t know anything happened!
Well, after lots of soaking and drilling holes and soaking again, I gave up. I purchased a good used transom clamp. Problem solved!
Anybody bought the stainless steel BRP transom clamp screws. Kinda pricey.
