      If you have any left over pieces from carb kits, you might get lucky and find one the right size. Or you can cut a small piece off a round rod and epoxy it in. Plugs are available but you might have to buy a hundred of them.

        Agreed, it is used on carb kits. Number is changed to 0306442. marineengine has lots of them @$4.89 ea. I can remember when they were two for a nickel.

          I’m going to be out of town until middle of next week. I will look through my old carb parts, then. Thank you all for the information.

            I found a welch plug in my old carb kit collection just like you said. I installed it with a little gasket sealant around the edge. Put everything back together and started her up. Everything is working like it should be now. Thank you everyone for all your help. I’m sure I’ll being asking more questions in the future as I have 1951 model 7518 Evinrude that I plan on restoring in the future.
