Wasn’t sure if this day would ever come after bringing home my
$50 catch of a 1960 Evinrude, two Eskas, and a OMC gas tank,
and finding out the Evinrude was in worse shape than I thought
from the mice piss. Different carb, intake manifold, carb silencer,
patched up pin hole in crankcase, new fuel pump, one replacement
piston, seals, waterpump, etc. Seems to run pretty good. Have not invested in
a magneto timing tool yet, so just had to set the points at .020.
Was going to try my dial gauge in the spark plug holes, but not
quite enough room to install it.
