Sorry to those that were waiting but I now have the replacement for the 302495 oil seals in.

I feel these are better than the originals. They are virtually indestructible, rubber coated, and guaranteed to never rot. They are also double lip!

I added a tiny bit to the outside diameter, compared to an original seal. Reason is, many times the housing is slightly worn, and it leaks there. Still fits NOS housings as well, but allows for a bit tighter fit in a 60 year old housing, which is what most of us deal with.

I know many of you use the SKF seals, but I was just never happy with them. Being steel shell, they rot. I also found them to be flimsy, and could crush when installing. These you can take a hammer to and you will not damage them.

I am a member of AOMCI and I collect 50’s Johnson’s, Evinrude’s Gale’s and Gale made badge motors. How many can you spare? I would like to get 10 if you can part with that many. Those look great and I use my motors. It sure would be nice to have seals that won’t rust on my old motors.

                    Cesar,

What serial number is you motor?

They changed mid year. The late 1957 18hps use the same prop shaft seal as the ’58 and on 18s.

Also, what Sierra kit did you purchase?

At that price, they are a steal. And double lip to keep the trash out too! I hope all you guys are paying attention.
